In case I didn't get you anything for Christmas, (quite likely) let this be my gift to you. This is Alex Boye. I saw this performance on GBTV and immediately recognized this guy from Soli's favorite video of I Am a Child of God. Something about him reminds me of my brother in law DeWayne (more so on other videos we've seen of him) Even the kids think so!
This isn't the kind of music I'm typically attracted to, but Alex Boye is amazing! This song just wrenched my heart. You can't just hear it, you have to watch him sing it! This video comes from GBTV and it begins with a very emotional introduction from Glenn Beck. You know I love him and I know it's a big joke that he cries all the time, it's worth seeing it through to Alex's song.

I tried. I even ignored the big baby crying through the first HALF of the video. Mr Boye has a wonderful voice. That song does absolutely nothing for me. I don't think other shows wouldn't let him sing the song because of the fact that it is a song of faith, but more because it is a style of music that very few people listen to.
