All the boys got to play soccer this year. I'm so glad we did it! I'm also so glad it's over. I couldn't possibly keep up with that schedule all year!
Adam loved it and may have had a little crush on his coach - she was a tall blonde Gonzaga player, Dominic totally rocked and Tyler had fun too.
Dominic was so good. Forgive me, but the games are even funner when your son is one of the best on the team and all the other parents are cheering for him too!

Jared really gets into their games. He didn't sign up to coach because he was shceduled to be out of town a lot during the season but I'd say he was the honorary "extra" coach for all of them. Just look at that face on Dominic. What a triumph! Good game, good game, good game...
Tyler was a good sport. They had a rouch start. The coach was a real nice guy that knew nothing about coaching or soccer so they all learned as they went. It was a good season that ended well though.
Ahh, the Katie bug. I love that face!!
Soccer ended just in time for us to have an open Saturday before Halloween. It was one of those evenings that the kids will always remember the smell of. Pumpkin guts, apple pie, even two surprise visits from relatives which, incidentally, has a smell of it's own.

I didn't even take a picture of the finished products. Jared's so good at his pumpkin carving gig. The best I can manage is some Charlie Brown triangle eyes and a crooked smile. This year there was a transformers symbol (my favorite), a batman sign, and even a Laker's punkin. I've been working on lots of "de-stuffing" for, well, a while. I'm mean; the kids have no toys in their rooms, I've taken almost all of the toys away, I even limit the amount of clothes all of us can keep out. There's a lot of stuff that comes with 7 people! I'm going to keep being mean, no toys this Christmas, just socks. Things of necessity is where it's at! Excess=mess.
The latest organization project was to get out the winter gear and organize it. Good thing I did because we just got snow! I had to take a picture of this pile of coats, gloves, hats, and boots. Good grief! Soli had fun trying on every body's boots and hats. We are now ready for the winter! Let it snow!
